Nashville Zoo

This was Cooper's first time to the zoo. Cameron and I decided we wanted to celebrate our 10 year anniversary taking Cooper to the zoo. Cooper had a wonderful time. The weather was hot, but there was no humidity which was wonderful. We are hoping to take Cooper to a bigger zoo soon (maybe Memphis). His favorite place was the petting zoo.

Our Stowaway

Papa was taking the bassinet from Cooper's room to their house to store. We have been using the bassinet as a changing table since Cooper was born. As Papa was pushing it he made a comment how heavy it was. Sure enough, it was Cooper hiding out. I wonder if Cooper was trying to sneak to Gallatin to stay with his Ninna and Papa?

A No Nap Day

Ninna and Papa came to spend the day with me and Mommy. We went to the swimming pool and had a great time. Papa showed me how to dunk, and so I started to dunk Mommy. Papa treated us to Krystals on the way home. Once we finished eating, Papa tried to get me down for a nap, but I was too excited to settle. I showed Ninna how I hold my nose and say "stinky".

Boo gets a boo boo

Bless his heart! Cooper fell off the last step at our house and got his first scraped knee. A band-aide and kiss sure did the trick.

Mamma Mia

Today was a big adventure for Cooper. He got to make homemade noodles. Diane Moses invited Cooper and I and Joan Fussell to come to her house and make noodles. It only took 2 cups of sugar and 2 eggs. Then we used a pasta machine. The grown ups had a good time talking about school getting started, and Cooper had fun playing with the toys Diane had at her house and helping Mommy make her pasta.

More water fun!

We went to Don Fox Community Park in Lebanon, Tennessee. This is a free water wading pool. This was the perfect size pool for Cooper.

Fireworks

We went to Uncle Kenney's new house to watch the fireworks. He lives up on the hill where Dr. Sanders used to live. Fun was had by all who was there. The weather was just perfect for this night. The breeze was just perfect. This was the first time Cooper watched the fireworks. He didn't do much at first when he saw them, but once the fireworks were really going off he really enjoyed them (considering he didn't nap all day!!!)

Nannie

It sure isn't the Fourth of July without Nannie celebrating in her stars and stripes. She has always loved the 4th. We had a special time with Nannie. She was having a pretty good day, and enjoyed her time with Cooper.

Fourth of July

We began our 4th of July with our traditional lunch at Ninna and Papa's. We had grilled chicken sandwiches, Mexican dip, watermelon, blueberries, grapes, and strawberries. Before lunch, I wanted to show Unlce Barry how I like to share. Want a lick?

Quiet Time

While I was working on the computer, I noticed the house got pretty quiet. Usually when the house is quiet and Cooper is not napping, I need to go check on him immediately. I went to his room and his room was a mess, but there was no Cooper. I went into the living room and there was Cooper in the chair sitting quietly watching PBS. He had reached the throw and covered himself with it. I ruined this quiet moment by taking this picture. I just had to take a picture of Cooper sitting down quietly. It does not happen often.
