I just turned two today, but I have been practicing being two for a while. Mommy and Ninna tried to get me to take a nap today, but I was just too excited to. I knew something important was going on. Who can sleep with all the excitement of getting things ready? While I was supposed to be sleeping, I would say in bed Momma- Eyes Loves Yew.....Dadda- Eyes Loves Yew....Ninna-Eyes Loves Yew...Papa- Eyes Loves Yew. We called it roll call. It was cute, but we sure did know we would pay for it if he didn't take a nap.

My Jenna

I was so excited Jenna came to my birthday party. I have not seen her since the KinderMusic class this spring. She is the little girl I hugged and kissed. We had a great time at my party. I sure hope we can see each other again real soon.

Family Tradition

It is a family tradition to lick your candles after you blow them out. I taught my nephews when they were little, and now they are teaching Cooper. Cooper wanted to bite the candle instead of lick it. He got the hang of it after the first one though.

More Candy!!!!

I am really starting to like this trick-or-treating stuff. I just walk to a few steps and I get more candy...walk a few more....get more. Wow!! This is worth dressing up. I want to do this more often.

Trunk or Treat

Cooper went Trick-or-Treating Saturday night at the Walnut Street Church of Christ. It was actually called Trunk or Treat. Members of the church set up their treats in the back of their SUV, Van, or just popped the trunk. Cooper was a little unsure of what to do at first, but by the time we were almost finished, he liked the idea of getting all of that candy.

Trains!!!!

All we've heard from Cooper's mouth in the last month is "twains," "terrains" and more trains." At last, here he was situated atop a real live, still-in-use railroad line in Dickson County. It runs through Montgomery Bell State Park and features a number of one-lane overpasses, trestles and other unique elements only locomotive and rail-car transportation can offer. Since his birthday is Oct. 28, we thought we'd roll his Halloween costume and 2-year-old birthday-party theme into one interchangeable outfit. He loved banging the shiny-steel rail lines with rusty, old spikes, couldn't resist squatting on the creosote ties, and shouting "TWAIN" when he heard his mother blow the wooden whistle.

Sleeping again

I can not get enough sweet pictures of Cooper sleeping. He fell asleep with his train in hand. Trains is his new obsession.

My new tricycle

Ninna and Papa bought me a new red tricycle. I love it so much. It is much easier to ride than the bigger bike you saw me ride earlier. I enjoy riding my new tricycle up and down the side walk. I don't use the pedals yet, but I will learn how real soon. I just scoot with my feet right now.

Always Precious When Sleeping

I could not resist taking this picture. He did not sleep well the night before, and fought going to sleep this night. He finally fell asleep playing in Mommy's old crib at Ninna and Papa's house playing with her old toys.
