Cameron took Cooper fishing this week while Cameron has been off from work. Not only did Cooper catch the BIGGEST fish, but he caught the MOST!! He was so excited. He actually reeled in at least two of his own fish without help.

The Easter Bunny came to see Cooper. He got Transformers, chocolate candy, and Easter book, jelly beans, and a video about Jesus.

I asked Cooper what his favorite thing about Easter was. He told me it was the music at church.

Cooper had to pick a buttercup for everyone at Ninna's today. He didn't want to leave anyone out.

Oh What A Night

This certain Monday night was just any normal night . We picked up his room, brushed our teeth, said our prayers, talked about our day. We said good night, and went to bed. Well, one person went to bed. The other person turned the lights back on and had COMPLETE UN-SUPERVISED FUN!!!!

When Cameron came home around 1 a.m. from work, I heard Cooper talking to him. I got out of bed and asked Cooper why he was awake. I noticed he had marker all over the front of his shirt. I took it off and put spray on it. I asked him what he had been coloring. He ran and closed his bedroom door. That told me right then I better go check. And this is what I saw....

This is NOT what his room looked like when I put him down for the night.

I had to get the camera. I was pretty upset with Cooper at the moment. I just knew I needed to take a picture of this. Cooper got upset with me. He asked why I was taking a picture. I told him it was evidence!! Then he asked me, "Momma, do I need to smile?"

Cameron brought Gatlin to the door the first night we were at the hotel. As Cameron was unloading the car, he kept hearing a cry. Once he found Gatlin, he knew he had to bring him in. He was starving, freezing, and had some abrasions on his back paws as if someone had abused him. Once we bathed him and fed him, Gatlin warmed up to Cooper. Cooper absolutely adores Gatlin.

Christmas Art at the Renaissance Center

We had the opportunity to take Cooper to the Renaissance Center to do Christmas art projects.

Cooper made his first homemade Christmas card wit help from Mom and Dad. The picture is actually an attached puzzle. Cooper did want to take the puzzle apart, but we convinced him to start on his next project.

Cooper had more fun playing with the whole punch than actually working on his ornament.

Cooper made three ornaments. A snowman, a christmas tree, and a snowflake.

Cooper is still holding on to the hole puncher :O)

When Cooper saw Santa, he got up in his lap and asked him. " Santa, what kind of cookies do you like?" Santa said, "I like all kinds of cookies, but I think I like oatmeal cookies." Cooper slid off his lap and went to the refreshment table and brought Santa a cookie back before he started telling him what he wanted for Christmas.

Santa asked Cooper what he wanted for Christmas. Cooper list was:

November 9th was just an ordinary night. I left school, picked Cooper up from daycare, came home and got the mail. Cooper found a toy magazine in the stack of mail to look at while I started dinner. I barely started dinner when Cooper came into the kitchen with a very strange look about him. He was holding his arms and was shaking. I asked him what was wrong. He told me his arms stung. He said that with his teeth clinched. I asked him why they stung. Did a spider bite you? Then again with clinched teeth, Cooper pointed to the iron. He said the iron stung him. I immediately started examining his arms when I saw the blisters. I threw the food back into the refrigerator, got a zip lock bag and filled it with ice, and picked Cooper up and went immediately to the Emergency Room. I remember calling Cameron, and my mom. I also remember Rob calling while putting Cooper in the car. The only thing that bothered Cooper when we got to the ER was that he did not want to ride in the ambulance.

We were blessed to find out the burns were only first degree. They believed he would not scar at all.

This was right after he got bandaged up.

Once we were home and situated, I sat down with Cooper and talked to him about how important it is to not plug up appliances. We talked about how he should not play with Mommy's iron. He asked if it was ok to look at it, but not touch it. I said exactly. Then he told me he wanted HoHo to bring him an iron that does not plug up, an ironing board with baskets and hangers, and a washing machine.

These were taken before we went to the Trunk of Treat. We had several people turn and stare at Cooper. He acted as if he was a real fire chief. He had a walkie talkie that sounded like an official emergency scanner.

He really got good at Trunk and Treating by the end. But after having a birthday party, and trunk or treating, Cooper was exhausted. Today was a very good day!!!

Cooper had his 4th birthday party at Field of Dreams park in White Bluff, Tennessee. We were were all a little nervous about what the weather was going to do on this day, but it turned out to be a beautiful day.

I love spending time with my Uncle Rob. He sure is one cool uncle. He is very supportive of me. He calls to talk to me or calls to just ask about me. He will send me cards in the mail. Even though we don't live close to each other, he is just always there for me. Thank you Uncle Rob and Aunt Cindy.

Ninna and Papa took us to McEwen, Tennessee to the annual St. Patrick's Picnic. Ninna and Papa were surprised at how well Cooper ate. He sure does love BBQ. St. Patrick's is a one of our favorite BBQ to eat. The sauce is fantastic.

Cooper loves being outside during the summer time. Bugs, frogs, and toads, oh my! I have been pretty impressed with Cooper though. Most kids would want to keep a bug, or a toad forever and never let them go. Cooper will play for a few minutes and then tell us it is time to let them go.

Cooper is picking blackberries with his Daddy. He doesn't really like to eat the berries, but he just loves to spend the time with Cameron.

Swimming Lessons at the Dickson Country Club 2009

Cooper took swimming lessons for the second time with Suzanne. He had a blast. He took his swimmies off and began swimming. I went home and told Cameron about his day. He was like ok sure he did. The next day Cameron went with us to the pool. When Cooper jumped in the pool and started swimming towards me, Cameron's mouth dropped to the ground. He was so surprised at how well Cooper did. He kept the swimmies off all week. We weren't 100% without swimmies at the end of the summer, but we made a lot of progress. Cameron and I were so proud of Cooper.

We decided to take a day trip to Montgomery Bell State Park. It was a beautiful day just to get away. Cooper loved the creek and open space just to run. After hanging out at the park, we drove to White Bluff to eat ice cream at Freezer Burn. It was a great day to be together.

First Day at First United Methodist Pre School

August 11, 2009 was the first day of Pre School for Cooper. Cameron and I were both able to be there to watch Cooper begin his first day. I did not get a chance to take a still shot of Cooper with his backpack and lunch box in hand because he was too excited to get to his class. As you can probably tell by the pictures.
Ms. LaDonna and Ms. Mary are the teachers for Cooper's preschool class. Cooper already knows Ms. Mary and adores her so I know this year will be a great one.

Once we got to class, Cooper was ready to begin. We were told to make our goodbyes very brief. Cooper had no problems. I didn't expect for him to. What a great day!!

Bob the Builder-Can you fix it?

Last night Cooper found all of his Bob the Builder accessories he got for Christmas and decided to put them on. He looked so cute walking in the yard with his flashlight looking for toads and lightning bugs I could not resist taking a few pictures of him. Being out in the yard after dark with his Daddy is one of his favorite things to do this summer.

Pre-school day camp

Cooper began Pre-School Day Camp at the First United Methodist Church in Dickson June 2, 2009. This week was to get the children and parents an idea of what to expect when the school year begins. Cooper had a fantastic time there. He loved the teachers, other children, and all the neat things he got to do during the week. Part of their theme was pirates. He loved his patch for his eye and the funny way pirates talked. He also made a picture of a parrot, but he called it his Harrot. It was a great experience for us all. I just can't believe my baby is old enough for pre-school!!!

Cooper was asked by Josh and Brooke to be in their wedding May 30, 2009 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in McEwen, TN. Cooper was so excited about putting his tuxedo on. Once he got it on he asked me to dance with him. I guess he has seen me watch so many Dancing With the Stars that he assumed that was his dancing outfit. So, we danced.
Cooper did a great job during the wedding. I was a little worried since I saw how he was at the rehearsal, but he did a wonderful job the night of the wedding. I was so proud of him. It was a beautiful wedding.

Jaclyn wanted a picture with just Cooper before the wedding. He loves is Jack-an. She knows a lot about Transformers, and that is a major plus for Cooper. He was funny the night before the wedding. He told Jaclyn's boyfriend that he was a Deceptacon and wanted him to go away. I don't think Cooper wanted to share Jaclyn with Cody. For those that don't know what a Deceptacon is...it is a bad transformer.

While waiting for his age group to have their turn for the Easter Egg Hunt, Cooper enjoyed the time making crafts. One of the crafts was making a birds nest. The other project was to color his rabbit for his headband. He actually had to make a headband for his Mamma as well.

Cooper's Root Canal

When we had Cooper's teeth cleaned, we were not thrilled with the idea of our little guy having a cavity. But, when we found out that cavity was bigger than we thought, we were shocked to find out he was in need of a root canal. A root canal at 3!!! The first appointment we had to get his tooth fixed did not turn out the way we planned. Cooper was supposed to drink this liquid to make him sleepy. It didn't work. Instead, he was a wild man. It did the opposite of what it was supposed to do. We had to reschedule. This time we were supposed to go to the surgery center. The procedure went well. Cooper did great until they came to take him off to surgery. Of course, that killed me. I was a nervous wreck the whole hour he was away. The root canal went great, and Dr. George got rid of all those cavity bugs.

I didn't realize how special this photo was when we took this Christmas morning. Now I treasure it. This was the last picture taken with Gi Gi before she passed away. We we so blessed to have Gi Gi one more Christmas. I will treasure the time I had with Gi Gi on the couch looking through pictures of Cooper she had missed during the year. I believe I can say every moment we spent with Gi Gi was a treasurable moment.

Santa brought Cooper a new easel, art supplies, board games, soccer ball, t.v. stand and stools,Elephant Butterfly catcher, and tools. Momma and Daddy gave him a Bob the Builder puppet. He just adores this puppet. Santa also brought the whole family and portable DVD player for the car. It sure has come into great use.

Cameron and I were so excited all month to see what Cooper would be like this Christmas morning. This was the first year Cooper was showing excitement about Christmas and Santa Claus. When we woke up Christmas we did get an unexpected surprise. A stomach bug. Cooper woke up throwing up. Cooper was up thirty minutes before he even felt like going to see what Santa Claus brought. Thankfully the virus did not last long. He finally got into playing and our day turned out great.

We spent some time with Nannie on Christmas Eve at the Terrace. We gave her a special angel to watch over her. Nannie thought it was really pretty. Cooper took it from Nannie and placed it by a picture of Nannie and Buddy. I felt that was an appropriate place for the angel. Nannie and Cooper played with the Bob the Builder hat his Aunt Cindy gave him.

We all wondered if we would make it to Ninna and Papa's house for Christmas Eve. It rained so hard, it was hard to see to drive. Thankfully we made it. By the time we made it to Gallatin, the rain had stopped.
Everything looked wonderful. All the children looked adorable in their Christmas clothes. The new addition to Ninna and Papa's house was beautiful. And the food... well, that was just delicious as always. It is always fun at Ninna and Papa's, especially when my cousins are there to share the fun with me.

Ninna and Papa gave Cooper a Melissa and Doug activity cart. It has several activities in one. He loves that cart. He pushes it all over the house. It really keeps him busy. Uncle Rob and Aunt Cindy gave Cooper a Christmas coin, and a whole basket of Bob the Builder things. Oh my!! Was that a hit or what?!?! Cooper just adores Bob the Builder. He walks around the house with the gear Aunt Cindy gave him. What a great day.

Cooper was so excited about going to his school's Christmas Party. He knew Mr. Tracy would dress up as Santa. He adores Mr. Tracy. Cooper was supposed to bring a gift and a bag of chips. The funny thing was, most of the kids that showed up to the party also brought chips. The kids who were supposed to bring something else did not show up. (It was pretty cold that day) So, there were plenty of chips for that party. The kids were really too excited about eating anyway. Cooper was more excited about giving Tracy his gift than opening his own. The party didn't last too long. It lasted long enough for these sweet children.

After attending a birthday party at the Renaissance Center before Christmas, we saw Santa Claus going to his sled. Cooper just hopped up on his knee and hugged him. I was thinking this would be the year where he would be a little scared of Santa. This Santa was fabulous. He was wonderful with Cooper.

Breakfast with Santa at Miss Mable's Tea Room

I had heard about eating breakfast with Santa at the First United Methodist Church early on in the season. I was planning on taking Cooper there until someone said that Miss Mabel's Tea Room was doing the same thing. Cameron and I decided to take Cooper to Miss Mabel's because there would not be as much of a crowd, and it would be more personal attention with Cooper and Santa. When we called for reservations, they asked me what Cooper was interested in. I told them he attended Kindermusik and he loved to make music. They made sure Cooper had a gift to unwrap from Santa, and it was bells to ring.
For breakfast, we had reindeer pancakes with two scoops of vanilla ice cream on top. They even drizzled chocolate syrup on top. Cooper did a fantastic time clearing his plate. He truly enjoyed this experience except for seeing the Grinch. The Grinch walked in behind Santa to greet the children. Cooper just leaped into my lap and was terrified. Mrs. Claus had to ask the Grinch to leave and never to come back in order for Cooper to sit back in his seat to enjoy the rest of his breakfast. That did calm Cooper down, but his eyes kept cutting toward the door to make sure the Grinch did not come back in.

FUMC Trunk or Treating

This is the second year Cooper and Jenna has gone to the First United Methodist Church's Trunk or Treating together. This year we had the Daddy's come along. I was so glad Cameron got the opportunity to get off work to go with us. This is the first Halloween Cameron has had with Boo since he was first brought home from the hospital. I know Cooper was glad to have his Daddy with us as well.
Cooper dressed as a farmer, and Jenna dressed as a vet. Those two were just adorable. We had more comments about those two as we were going from trunk to trunk. I do enjoy going trunk or treating. I feel this is a safe environment for Cooper.

Time for Coffee

After trunk-or-treating, we went to the House of Blend for coffee. Actually, JT, Angie, and Cameron had coffee, and I had hot chocolate with the kids. Cooper ended up drinking sweet tea because he does not like things hot. We just had a pleasant time together just enjoying the evening together. The kids got to see what kind of treats they got in their bags. Cooper and Jenna enjoyed playing with his camera he got for his birthday. Cooper and Jenna just adore each other. I am so glad we have had the opportunity to get to know the Baggett's. They are truly special people.

Halloween at Ms. Suzanne's Housh

Oh Cooper was excited about spending time at Ms. Suzanne's house. He got to spend time with Max. Max loved having Cooper there, but the poor little thing was completely worn out by the time we left. Yes, I am talking about the dog. But actually, Cooper was pretty worn out as well. He ended up taking his shoes and socks off and his overalls off and crawled into Ms. Suzanne's bed. He told us he was ready to go night night. Poor little thing didn't realize we still had one stop to make. At that point, Momma was ready to get in her pajamas and crash for the night.
The funny thing about being at Ms. Suzanne's house was the people who stopped by were from Dickson Elementary. They saw us both there and just looked at us funny, like you aren't supposed to be hanging out together outside of school. When the trick-or-treaters left, Cooper would yell out "be careful". The adults would turn and look at Cooper and just smile and say "did that little kid just tell us to be careful?" We had a terrific time tonight.

Halloween at Jason's House

By the time we got to Jason's house, it was after 10. Cooper and I were barely able to keep our heads up when we got there. Once Cooper started hanging out with Jason, he began to get his energy back. Maybe it was because Jason kept lifting him up to the ceiling. We got to hang out with Jason, his mother, and Marie. By the time we got home from visiting, it was after twelve. Cooper and Momma crashed hard. We actually slept until 10 the next day. This sure was a great day.

Happy Birtday To You

Cooper has been practicing for weeks the song Happy Birthday. He loves that song. When he comes to the part of Hppy birthday to Cooper- he has actually been saying to "Kipper". When the time came for us to sing the song at the party, Cooper got embarressed and ran and hugged me. I kept thinking he would sing along with everyone. Anyway- it was a great day. I loved how the cake turned out, the party was a success. Could not have asked for a better day.

He just liked sitting behind the wheel of the race car video game pretending to be driving. At the end of the party, Cameron put quarters in and they raced together.

We got to go to the annual Walnut Street Church of Christ Trunk or Treating again this year. They always have this the weekend before Halloween. It think of this as the dress rehearsal. I believe Cooper remembered what to do from last year. He was not shy going from car to car getting candy.

Every year I have been taking Cooper's picture before Halloween because I know how busy and chaotic the day of Halloween will be. This year, I took Cooper to Montgomery Bell State Park to take his picture and then to play for a while. He loved plying by the creek. It was the perfect time of day to take these pictures. We did have to hurry taking the pictures because a group of people arrived so they could do a baptism. It was a beautiful day for a baptism, but the water was freezing.

I am so glad we did the sandbox last. Cooper just loved doing this. Once Cameron showed him what to do, Cooper had a blast. He didn't even care that there were other dump trucks in the sandbox. It was not very fun getting him to leave. This was a fun trip. We will have to do this again before the end of this month.

Cooper and I met Anna Brae and her mother Kelly at the Field of Dreams park in White Bluff. Anna Brae is one of Cooper's friends from Kindermusik. Her mom is also on fall break. We are hoping to do this again before we have to go back to school.

My Little Monkey

When Cooper saw the ropes, he was like a little monkey climbing to the top. He is actually very good at that skill. I was pretty impressed since he has never seen anything like this before. I ended up lying on my back in the mulch in order to take this picture. Anna Brae wasn't as sure about the ropes as she was the bridge. Cooper was really cute with her saying, "Come on Anna Brae, you can do it."

Cooper enjoyed all the swings at Field of Dreams. He really did enjoy the tire swing until he realized it was filled with water. Cooper and Anna Brae played so well together. I think they were sad when it was time to leave, but they were both so tired from playing so hard. We will have to do this again real soon.

Kindermusik

Cooper and I go to the Renaissance Center every Monday evening to Kindermusik. We have been doing this since Cooper was 18 months old. We both love going. Cooper adores his music teacher Kelly Workman. She is wonderful with all these children. At times, it is like herding kittens to get them to do what they need to do. We do several activities during the 45 minute class. It is a great time for the children to gain social and developmental skills, but it is also a great time for Cooper and I to have our special time together. The class he will graduate to in the spring will be the three year old class. Parents do not get to participate in this class. It will be sad for me, but I know Cooper will continue to love this class with Miss Kelly, Anna Brae, and of course Jenna.

Just a Swingin

One of the favorite things the children love to do the most in Kindermusik is to swing in the sheets. The children will take turns lying on top of a sheet and two parents will start swinging them to soothing music. Cooper really loves it when JT swings him solo. He can really get him high.

Cooper sure has been watching his Daddy shaving. Cooper decided Sunday afternoon that he needed to shave as soon as he got out of the shower. Some of his expressions look just like his Daddy. He left the water run and he would rinse his razor off and tap it on the side of the sink just like Cameron. Now he keeps asking if he can shave again. Cameron told him he is allowed to shave only once a day and also reminded him he could only use his razor. He was not allowed to use Mommy and Daddy's.

Cooper, Cameron, and I met Heather and Ryan at P.F. Changs on Saturday. We had a fantastic time together. It has been a while since we have been able to get together and just catch up. Cooper was happy because he got to eat his noodles and shrimp. We will definately have to do this again soon.

We went to celebrate Papa's 62nd birthday last Sunday. We met in Hendersonville and ate at Shoney's with Ninna, Papa, Uncle Rob, Connor, and Carter. We had a fantastic time. After lunch, we went to eat birthday cake with Nannie. We had a fantastic time in the courtyard. Cooper and the boys enjoyed chasing each other, and the adults enjoyed just time together. We are trying to start somethingn new in our family. Cameron works a different shift than I do so spending quality time as a family is very important for us on the weekend. This weekend we went bowling. Cooper went to a bowling party the weekend before and loved it, so I thought we would do it again this weekend. Exploring My Space

Cooper enjoyed spending time exploring this new place. There were so many new things to see. Balls rolling down lanes and knocking pins down, balls shooting back up. The noises of the bowling alley were exciting for him. He loved to carry his own ball and roll it himself. The only task Cooper really needs practice with is taking turns. Oh my do we need to work on that. When it was time for us to leave, Cooper showed out a little as you can see in the picture. This is just proof to show Cooper when he gets older what being two was like.
